Soho Slate

Soho Fabric

Soho Slate is a deep, near-black charcoal fabric with a tightly woven surface and a restrained, finely textured appearance. Its cool slate tone absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the colour a quiet depth.

About this fabric

The close, even weave is visible across the swatch as a subtle grid of fine threads, with no printed motif or contrasting pattern. Its very dark slate-grey colour sits just short of black, while tiny shifts in the weave keep the surface from appearing completely flat. The dense-looking construction and understated texture give this fabric a smart, tailored character well suited to upholstery.

How to use it

Pair Soho Slate with pale timber, chalky walls or warm metal accents to balance its cool, near-black tone. It works particularly well on clean-lined seating where the fine weave can add depth without introducing a strong pattern.

Use this near-black slate weave to give upholstered furniture a grounded, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
