Tone Charcoal

Tone Fabric

Tone Charcoal is a deep, near-black grey with a softly mottled textile surface. Its low-key finish gives the colour a calm, architectural presence rather than a stark black appearance.

About this fabric

The swatch shows an almost uniform charcoal ground, with very fine tonal variation visible across the surface. A restrained textile grain keeps the cloth from looking flat, while the matte appearance absorbs rather than reflects strong light. The dense-looking surface is well suited to upholstery, where its dark neutral tone can frame a room without introducing pattern. No composition, width, rub-test or performance feature is supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Tone Charcoal on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its deep grey tone can anchor softer greys, warm timber and pale stone finishes. Add tactile cushions or a lighter rug to prevent the near-black shade from feeling too heavy.

Use this deep charcoal shade to bring quiet contrast and a tailored feel to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
