About this fabric

Listed as a fabric from Kirkby Design’s Tone collection, Tone Marine presents a near-uniform marine blue across the swatch. Its subtle surface texture gives the dark colour gentle variation, while remaining visually plain and understated. The shade reads cool and saturated in the image, with a soft depth that avoids looking stark black. This even, low-contrast appearance makes the colourway feel considered and smart in either upholstery or drapery settings.

How to use it

Use Tone Marine to give a room a grounded navy anchor, especially on a clean-lined chair, sofa or full-length curtain. Pair its cool ink tone with pale neutrals for contrast, or echo it with slate, denim and charcoal accents for a deeper scheme.

Its deep navy tone brings quiet depth to upholstery, curtains and layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
