Teddy Ocean

Teddy Fabric

Teddy Ocean is a cool, muted blue with the gently varied appearance of sea glass and shallow water. Its close, nubby surface gives the plain colour a tactile, softly dimensional finish.

About this fabric

The swatch shows an even ocean-blue ground with subtle blue-grey variation distributed through the weave. Its dense granular texture catches the light in tiny shifts, preventing the cool shade from appearing flat or overly saturated. The design is visually plain rather than patterned, with the interest coming from the irregular, tactile surface. As a fabric from Kirkby Design’s Teddy collection, this colourway reads as relaxed and quietly textural on upholstered furniture.

How to use it

Use Teddy Ocean on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool blue tone can sit alongside chalky whites, pale timber and warm natural textures. Its muted depth also works well as a calm contrast to rust, ochre or soft tan accents.

A cool, softly mottled blue with a tactile, nubby surface that brings quiet depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
