Spiral Barren

Spiral Fabric

Spiral Barren has a warm, earthy brown ground densely animated by fine charcoal-black flecks and irregular linear marks. The close-up image shows a tactile, compact surface with a softly mottled depth rather than a clean, flat colour.

About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, Spiral Barren presents a dense woven texture in layered brown, muted rust and charcoal tones. Its tiny, irregular marks run across the surface in a broken all-over rhythm, giving the colourway a subtly graphic character without a large-scale motif. The visibly substantial, tightly textured cloth is best suited to upholstery rather than fluid drapery. No composition, width, rub-test or additional performance specification has been supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair Spiral Barren with warm timber, aged leather and muted clay accents to draw out its earthy brown base. On a chair, bench or sofa, the charcoal flecking adds quiet visual movement while remaining suitably restrained.

Use its warm, peppered brown texture to bring depth to upholstered seating and occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
