Teddy Tobacco

Teddy Fabric

Teddy Tobacco is a rich tobacco-brown fabric with a close, softly nubby surface. Its warm ochre cast is broken by tiny darker and lighter flecks, giving the plain ground a gently mottled depth.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a dense, short textured surface rather than a printed motif, with fine irregular fibres creating a tactile, almost softly pebbled appearance. Its tobacco tone sits between golden ochre and earthy brown, reading warm and deep while the lighter flecks catch across the surface. The substantial-looking texture makes this colourway particularly suited to upholstered seating and headboards. No performance features are noted in the supplied information, so any project-specific suitability should be confirmed before ordering.

How to use it

Use Teddy Tobacco on a generous armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its warm, earthy depth can anchor a room. Balance the golden-brown tone with chalky neutrals, natural wood and soft woven layers.

Pair its warm tobacco-brown depth with oat, cream, aged timber and brushed metal for a grounded, tactile scheme.

Pairs well with

Teddy Tobacco is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
