Trace Plum

Trace Fabric

Trace Plum is a deep, almost blackened plum shade with a finely textured vertical surface. Its restrained tonal variation gives the colour depth without introducing a separate pattern.

About this fabric

The face is closely textured, with fine vertical striations running consistently through the rich plum ground. In the darker areas it reads as aubergine, while lighter threads catch gently to prevent the colour appearing flat. The compact, medium-looking weave makes this a versatile textile for upholstery or drapery, particularly where a smart, low-pattern finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Trace Plum to bring depth to a reading chair, headboard or tailored curtain, pairing its cool wine-purple tone with charcoal, aged timber, smoky neutrals or muted brass.

A dark plum textile with subtle vertical texture for tailored upholstery or softly structured drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
