Hidden Wallcovering Shell

Hidden Wallcovering Shell is a pale, abstract wallpaper built from irregular, softly outlined forms. Its shell-white ground is layered with ivory and light beige shapes for a quiet, tonal effect.

About this wallpaper

Large, organic fragments overlap across the surface, creating an impression of loosely fitted pieces rather than a regular repeat. The palette stays close to white, moving through warm shell, ivory and subdued beige, so the design feels light without appearing stark. Fine tonal variation within the shapes gives the flat pattern a gently mottled, tactile appearance in the image. As part of Kirkby Design’s Wallcoverings Vol 1 collection, this colourway offers a restrained interpretation of the Hidden Wallcovering design.

How to use it

Use the warm shell and soft beige notes in bedrooms, hallways or light-filled living rooms, pairing the wallpaper with chalky whites, natural timber and understated upholstery. Its pale contrast works especially well where a large-scale pattern is wanted without a strong colour statement.

Use this pale shell colourway to bring a softly layered, contemporary feel to calm living spaces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hidden Wallcovering Shell without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
