Absolu - Noir

Absolu Fabric3241-05

Absolu – Noir presents a near-black surface with a subtle charcoal cast rather than a flat, ink-black finish. Its fine, close weave gives the swatch a quiet matte texture, with slight tonal variation visible across the cloth.

About this fabric

The colour sits at the deepest end of charcoal, reading cool, shadowed and distinctly understated. A fine, close-set weave creates a restrained textile grain across the surface, while the matte finish keeps the black from appearing glossy or reflective. The plain appearance allows the depth of the shade and the quiet variation in the weave to remain the focus. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification data.

How to use it

Use this deep charcoal on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its low-sheen surface can anchor pale stone, timber and brushed-metal finishes. In a darker scheme, pair it with layered grey textiles to draw out the subtle tonal texture rather than creating a stark, flat black block.

A dense, near-black woven surface for tailored upholstery and quietly dramatic interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
