Athena - Noir

Misc Fabric0657-25

Athena - Noir is a deep, near-black blue textile with a softly shadowed surface. Its restrained vertical texture gives the dark colour a little movement without introducing a visible pattern.

About this fabric

The colour sits between ink blue and black, reading cool and particularly deep across the swatch. Fine vertical striations and slight tonal variation are visible in the face, creating a subdued brushed effect rather than a flat solid. The dense-looking surface makes this colourway best judged as an upholstery fabric, where its dark, low-reflective character can give a chair or sofa a grounded, tailored presence. No composition, width, rub-test or performance data is supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair Noir with pale stone, smoky grey or warm timber to soften its near-black depth, or use it on a statement chair where the faint vertical texture can be seen at close range.

Use Noir to bring a deep, almost black-blue foundation to upholstered seating and other statement pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
