Contrée Sauvage Fabric3250-08

Cascade - Encre is defined by a deep, cool ink-blue ground crossed with warm ochre dotted lines. The flowing pattern creates a sense of movement while retaining a dark, composed depth.

About this fabric

The surface is covered with closely spaced ochre and muted beige dots that gather into irregular, wave-like trails across the blue field. Some lines curve and overlap, producing a fluid pattern with a distinctly graphic character rather than a conventional floral motif. The strong contrast between the warm dotted marks and the cool Encre ground gives the colourway visual depth, while the small points soften the overall effect. Its patterned, textile-like appearance makes it suitable to consider for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Cascade - Encre on a statement chair, bench or full-length curtain where its dark blue depth can anchor a room. Balance the warm dotted tracery with natural wood, aged metal and pale stone or linen tones.

Pair the deep Encre ground with warm oak, aged brass and quiet neutrals to bring out its ochre dotted tracery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
