Florio Ink is a deep, almost-black blue woven fabric with a quietly rippling surface. Fine horizontal lines move across the face, giving the dark colour subtle visual depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The face combines an ink-blue ground with closely spaced, irregular horizontal lines that resemble soft waves in the weave. Its 370gsm weight gives the cloth a substantial presence, while the 142cm usable width is practical for both upholstery and drapery applications. The design is specified with a 6cm vertical repeat and a 140cm horizontal repeat, creating a restrained linear rhythm across larger cuts. A standard length of 30m supports coordinated use across more than one element in a scheme.

How to use it

Use Florio Ink to add cool, near-black blue depth to a tailored chair, sofa or headboard, then repeat the shade in dark-painted joinery or accessories. As drapery, its fine linear texture will catch changing daylight without losing the colourway’s moody intensity.

The near-black ink-blue tone brings depth to upholstery and frames light beautifully when used for full-length drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
