About this fabric

The close, even weave gives this plain colourway a tactile natural texture, while the cloth’s folds create subtle tonal movement rather than a printed motif. Made from 100% linen, Elba Petrol is approximately 137cm wide and specified for curtains and general domestic fixed upholstery. Its saturated petrol depth feels cooler and more enveloping than a bright aqua, with the surface catching light softly across the creases. Allow 3% shrinkage, and care for it with a delicate 30C wash or dry cleaning.

How to use it

Pair Elba Petrol with chalky whites, warm timber and aged brass for a calm, coastal-influenced scheme, or use it against charcoal and walnut for a deeper, more atmospheric room. Its cool blue-green depth is especially effective on full curtains or a tailored upholstered chair.

Use the deep petrol tone to bring cool, layered colour to curtains, occasional seating or fixed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
