About this fabric

This Linwood velvet is covered with a dense, medium-scale repeat of gilded dragon or paisley forms, curling stems and stylised flowers. The near-black ground gives the pattern depth, while acid yellow, warm gold, coral pink, turquoise, teal and blue create a highly saturated rainbow effect. Fine woven detail is visible throughout the motifs, adding definition where the colours meet.
