Samarkand Elephant
Eclectic Fabric
Samarkand Elephant presents a deep charcoal-grey ground crossed by densely spaced vertical lines and broad, softened geometric bands. The shifting pattern gives the dark colourway a subtle sense of movement rather than a flat, uniform appearance.

About this fabric
Fine vertical striping runs consistently through the cloth, while darker horizontal and angled bands interrupt it to form a large, blurred geometric rhythm. The elephant-grey tone sits close to charcoal, with lighter threads appearing between the dense lines and catching the light softly. Broad, nearly solid panels create pauses within the pattern, giving the surface visual depth at close range. No performance features or further specification data are supplied for this fabric.
How to use it
Use Samarkand Elephant on a tailored chair, ottoman or full-height curtain where its dark grey depth can anchor a room without introducing a strong saturated colour. Balance the close linear texture with chalky walls, pale upholstery or warm timber.
Pair the deep grey with pale stone, warm timber or brushed metal for a composed interior.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Samarkand Elephant without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
