About this fabric
The image shows closely spaced vertical lines in taupe and charcoal, overlaid by irregular, blurred bands that deepen the fabric’s smoky appearance. Its woven surface has a fine, tactile grain, while the dark motif shifts gently in density rather than forming a hard-edged geometric repeat. The colourway reads as cool and shadowed overall, with the taupe accents preventing the charcoal from appearing completely flat. No performance features are noted for this colourway.
How to use it
Use Samarkand Soot on a tailored chair, ottoman or sofa where its charcoal depth can act as an architectural anchor. Warm taupe, aged wood and quiet stone shades will draw out the softer lines within the pattern.
