Abaca Indigo

Grasscloth Wallpaper

Abaca Indigo has a deep, muted indigo ground with fine horizontal striations running across the surface. Its blue-grey depth reads almost charcoal in the darker areas, while subtle tonal variation keeps the finish visually alive.

About this fabric

This Grasscloth colourway presents a cool, low-saturation blue-grey indigo rather than a bright or clear blue. Closely spaced horizontal lines create the appearance of hand-worked grasscloth, with faint shifts between charcoal, slate and softened green-blue tones. The surface remains understated from a distance, but the linear texture becomes more apparent as light moves across the wall. No performance features are noted for this wallpaper.

How to use it

Pair Abaca Indigo with pale timber, chalky whites and brushed metal to balance its deep cool tone. It also suits a darker room scheme where the charcoal-blue surface can act as a quietly textured backdrop.

A dark, finely striated indigo wallcovering for calm, layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
