About this fabric

This Mark Alexander textile shows a dense field of narrow, irregular vertical striations rather than a bold printed stripe. Its anthracite tone is cool and restrained, sitting between charcoal grey and black while retaining enough variation for the texture to remain visible. The woven-looking surface catches the light in slim, uneven highlights, preventing the dark colour from appearing flat. The structured appearance makes it particularly well suited to tailored upholstery.

How to use it

Pair Parallel Anthracite with pale stone, chalk or weathered timber to lift its cool charcoal depth, or use it with black metal and smoked glass for a sharper contemporary scheme.

Use this deep, cool charcoal weave to bring tailored depth to contemporary upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Parallel Anthracite without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
