Silken Ink
Silken Fabric
Silken Ink is a deep, blue-charcoal textile with a softly mottled surface and quiet tonal variation. Its dark shade reads almost black in places, while the fine texture catches the light with restrained depth.

About this fabric
The close surface has a subtly brushed or woven appearance, with cloudy vertical and horizontal shifts that prevent the ink tone from looking flat. Cool blue undertones emerge through the charcoal ground, giving this colourway a more atmospheric quality than a straightforward black. The low-key surface interest keeps the fabric sophisticated rather than glossy or strongly patterned. No composition, width or rub-test information was supplied for this fabric.
How to use it
Use Silken Ink for full-length curtains or relaxed Roman blinds where its blue-charcoal depth can frame a room without the hardness of pure black. Pair it with pale stone, smoked grey or warm timber to draw out the softened tonal texture.
A dark, softly textured ink shade with subtle tonal movement and a quietly refined finish.

Pairs well with
Silken Ink is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
