About this fabric

This fabric is visibly formed from small rectangular sections, with alternating horizontal and vertical thread directions giving the surface its broken-check effect. Slate blue-grey areas sit alongside pale grey and oatmeal tones, creating a muted, layered colourway rather than a single flat shade. The close, textured weave has a substantial appearance that makes this colourway particularly suited to upholstery. Viewed up close, the varied thread directions add depth as the light catches the raised woven surface.

How to use it

Use Castle - Slate on an armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool blue-grey tone can balance warm timber, oatmeal upholstery and pale stone finishes. Its softly varied check also works well on cushions when a room needs pattern without strong contrast.
