About this fabric

This colourway sits between burnt orange and warm chestnut, giving the russet shade a grounded depth rather than a bright, fiery quality. Its fine, closely woven face appears softly smooth, with a restrained lustre that becomes more noticeable as the light moves across it. The plain design keeps the emphasis on the saturated warmth and gentle tonal variation of the fabric itself. As a satin fabric with a fine, fluid-looking surface, it is best read as a drapery textile.

How to use it

Use the warm russet tone for full-length curtains or softly gathered blinds where its subtle sheen can catch natural or lamplight. It would bring depth to rooms built around cream, tobacco, walnut or muted brass accents.

A warm russet satin for softly structured curtains that benefit from a restrained surface sheen.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
