About this fabric

The design is formed from broad checks and narrower intersecting stripes, with the red bands shifting from russet to deep burgundy against the sage base. Fine cream and tan lines add definition without making the plaid feel bright, while the close woven surface gives the pattern a gently nubby, tactile appearance. This is catalogued as a fabric, with no performance features noted for this colourway. The substantial-looking weave and clearly defined check make it especially convincing on relaxed upholstery where its layered colours can be seen at close range.

How to use it

Use the muted sage ground to settle a country or heritage scheme, then echo the burgundy-red lines in piping, cushions or painted accents. Warm timber, aged leather and natural linens will complement its earthy depth.

A softly weathered sage plaid with burgundy-red bands and a tactile woven surface, well suited to relaxed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
