Misc Fabric

Donegal - Mauve presents a dense, close-textured weave in a dusky mauve-brown tone. Fine diagonal texture and scattered blue and red flecks give the surface gentle depth without forming a pronounced motif.

About this fabric

The compact woven surface reads as a softly mottled tweed, with closely packed diagonal yarns creating a tactile, lightly brushed appearance. Its mauve-brown ground is subdued and slightly smoky rather than bright, while tiny blue flecks punctuate the colour and occasional red notes add warmth. The small-scale texture makes the fabric visually calm at a distance, with more colour variation becoming visible close up. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied, and no performance features are noted for this SKU.

How to use it

Use this muted mauve-brown colourway on an armchair, sofa or dining seat where its blue flecks can sit alongside ink, slate or faded denim accents. Warm wood and tan leather will bring out the occasional red and brown tones in the weave.

Pair this muted mauve-brown weave with warm timber, aged leather and soft neutral upholstery for a quietly layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
