Elson Buxton Blue

Elson Fabric

Elson Buxton Blue sets cool, muted blue stripes against a warm ivory ground, creating a crisp but softened vertical design. The lightly textured surface keeps the contrast from feeling stark.

About this fabric

The design combines broad blue bands with narrower dark blue and pale blue lines, all running vertically across the cream-coloured face. Its blue reads slightly softened rather than highly saturated, while the warm ground brings balance and lightness to the colourway. A fine, visible surface texture gently breaks up the flatness of the stripes and gives the swatch a quietly tactile character.

How to use it

Use this cool blue-and-cream colourway on a tailored armchair, bench or full-length curtains where its vertical lines can add height. Pair it with chalky whites, natural timber and restrained blue accessories to preserve its fresh, composed mood.

Use the cool blue striping to add tailored vertical rhythm against warm ivory, pale wood or relaxed neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
