Toki Copper

Katori Fabric

Seen close-up, Toki Copper has a burnished, earthy warmth: copper-brown threads form a compact field of ivory angled shapes. The repeated pattern is small and even, with pale marks creating a crisp lattice-like rhythm across the cloth.

About this fabric

Toki Copper pairs a warm, muted copper ground with crisp ivory geometric marks arranged in a close, repeating angular pattern. Its dense, low-relief weave gives the surface a softly tactile, textile-led finish, while the pale motifs break up the copper without making the colourway feel bright. The tightly patterned design reads as rhythmic and graphic rather than floral, giving the warm shade a considered, contemporary character. No further performance, composition, width or rub-test specification is supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use the warm copper tone to bring earthy depth to an upholstered chair, bench or sofa, balancing it with ivory walls, natural timber and softly contrasting neutral textiles. The small ivory geometry works especially well where a patterned upholstery fabric is wanted without an oversized motif.

Pair the earthy copper base with ivory, cream or warm timber tones to echo the pattern’s crisp contrast.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Toki Copper without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
