Galatea cream
Galatea Fabricgalatea/fa1/mor
Galatea Cream shows a softly painterly, horizontal design washed in cream, blush and muted stone tones. The surface reads airy and tranquil, with the pattern drifting across the cloth in layered, brushy bands.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, Galatea has a natural handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, with a usable width of 136cm and a 68cm horizontal and vertical repeat. This cream colourway is not a stark white: it carries warm ivory, pale mushroom and the faintest blush tint, which softens the strong linear movement of the pattern. The abstract bands look gently weathered rather than sharp, giving the fabric a calm, contemporary feel. At 230gsm it has enough substance to hang with presence while still keeping the light, breathable character suggested by its cotton-linen mix. Dry clean only and do not iron.
How to use it
Use Galatea Cream where you want pattern without heaviness: it works beautifully as full-length curtains in a pale room or as blinds against natural timber and brushed metal. The soft blush-cream palette also layers well with stone, taupe and washed linen textures.
Pair with pale oak and quiet neutrals to let the painterly movement stay calm and airy.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Galatea cream without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
