Galatea multi

Galatea Fabricgalatea/fao/opa

Galatea Multi shows a painterly sweep of pale aqua, seafoam and sage brushed across a soft neutral ground. The broad horizontal striations give the fabric an airy, watercolour-like movement.

About this fabric

Woven in 60% cotton and 40% viscose, this fabric has a substantial 467gsm handle and a broad 68cm vertical and horizontal repeat. The visible surface is softly textured rather than glossy, which helps the turquoise, mint and mossy tones sit in gentle layered bands instead of looking sharp or graphic. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and the 140cm width with 136cm usable width gives good coverage for larger drops. With a 60000 Martindale rating, it is a robust textile even though the painterly colourway reads light and fluid.

How to use it

Use Galatea Multi in a bright room where its cool aqua and sage bands can echo sea glass, pale oak and chalky whites. It works especially well as full-length curtains or relaxed Roman blinds when you want colour without heaviness.

Ideal for statement curtains where the painterly strokes can read across the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
