Painswick yellow
Painswick Fabricpainswi/fa1/den
Painswick Yellow shows a lively checked pattern in buttery yellow, crossed with lavender-violet lines and blocks. The woven texture gives the colourway a soft, slightly rustic feel rather than a flat printed look.

About this fabric
This fabric is made from 100% polyester and has a substantial 420gsm weight, giving the check a confident, upholstery-friendly handle. The 137cm width and 5cm horizontal and vertical pattern repeat make the design easy to plan across larger furnishings. In this colourway, the yellow reads warm and sunny, while the lilac-blue grid adds a cooler, slightly vintage contrast that softens the overall effect. Dry clean only care and a dry iron finish suit its tailored, fabric-led appearance.
How to use it
Use Painswick Yellow on an accent chair, ottoman or blind where the yellow can brighten a quieter scheme. It pairs especially well with painted timber, warm whites and muted lilac or indigo accents.
A cheerful check with a tactile weave that works well for relaxed upholstery or statement blinds.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Painswick yellow without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
