Elder pink

Pennington Fabricelder/fa1/lil

Elder Pink shows a fresh botanical scatter of leaves and stems across a pale ground, with the design reading light, airy and painterly in this colourway. The mix of pinks, lilacs, green and soft aqua gives it a lifted spring feel rather than a heavy floral look.

About this fabric

This Pennington fabric from Voyage Maison is composed of 78% cotton and 22% polyester, and is supplied 140cm wide with a 70cm horizontal repeat and 41.7cm vertical repeat. The printed foliage sits on an off-white ground, with elder-pink blossoms softened by lilac, sage, and hints of teal that keep the palette fresh. Its linen-like surface and medium decorative scale give the pattern an easy, natural movement without feeling overly formal. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and should be dry cleaned only; ironing is safe.

How to use it

Pair this gentle pink-and-green colourway with chalky neutrals, pale timber and brushed brass for a relaxed country look. It works especially well where you want a floral that feels bright and botanical rather than sugary.

Use for breezy curtains or a statement chair where the pale ground can let the floral colours sing.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
