Camilo brown

Quintessence Fabriccamilo/fa1/ros

Camilo Brown combines a warm taupe ground with an abstract, layered surface that feels softly weathered rather than busy. The pale cream motif sits across the brown base like a broken linear glaze, giving the cloth a calm, textural rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in 65% cotton and 35% polyester, this 270gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, while still feeling versatile enough for lighter upholstery use. The 140cm width and 136cm horizontal repeat support larger-scale pattern placement, and the 85cm vertical repeat reinforces the design’s deliberately staggered, horizontal flow. In this colourway, the brown reads as a muted taupe-brown with warm beige and mushroom undertones, lifted by chalky ivory marks that soften the overall look. The surface effect is layered and slightly distressed, so the pattern feels tactile and relaxed rather than sharp or formal. It is dry clean only and iron safe.

How to use it

Use Camilo Brown with natural linens, aged oak and muted neutrals to let its warm brown base do the grounding. It suits relaxed rooms where you want pattern depth without a strong contrast spike.

The warm taupe ground works well where you want pattern without overpowering the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
