Samara Brown is a softly woven neutral with a tactile, basket-like surface and a warm mushroom-brown cast. The irregular slub and flecked yarns give the colourway a relaxed, earthy character.

About this fabric

This Voyage Maison fabric is composed of 60% acrylic and 40% textured polyester, with a width of 142cm, spot clean only care and an iron-safe finish. The weave reads as a small-scale textured plain, with pale stone and taupe yarns broken up by deeper brown threads for a natural heathered effect. Its surface has a nubby, lightly raised handle that feels substantial rather than crisp, which suits the upholstered look visible in the swatch. The overall tone is muted and warm, sitting closer to mushroom and driftwood brown than a strong chocolate shade.

How to use it

Use Samara Brown on an armchair, bench or headboard where the textured weave can add quiet depth without dominating the room. It pairs especially well with oak, linen, aged brass and other soft neutrals.

A softly textured neutral that works beautifully on tailored seating and layered natural schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
