Fretwork Print Forest

Oakham Fabrics FabricSCF0139-02

Fretwork Print Forest pairs a soft pale ground with fine forest-green lines arranged in an irregular open lattice. The green reads muted rather than saturated, giving the close-up pattern a quietly organic character.

About this fabric

This 252gsm fabric shows a delicate fretwork grid, with slightly uneven green lines crossing into small, pale rectangular openings. Its 140.5cm usable width provides a practical working field for curtains, cushions and upholstered details. The pattern repeats vertically every 30.5cm and horizontally every 28cm, keeping the lattice clearly legible across the cloth. The specification records 38 threads per cm, complementing the close, finely drawn appearance visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Forest against warm whites, chalky stone or pale timber so the subdued green lattice remains the room’s defining detail without becoming heavy. Its light ground also makes it suitable for relaxed curtains, occasional upholstery and patterned cushions.

Use the pale ground and fine forest-green lattice to bring gentle pattern to upholstery, cushions or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fretwork Print Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
