Ashbrook Natural

Ferndene Fabric FabricCCF0692-02

Ashbrook Natural brings a densely drawn botanical design to a warm ivory ground, with curling leaves and fine stems picked out in softened sage, olive, charcoal and rust. The restrained, weathered palette gives the pattern a gentle natural depth rather than a bright or highly contrasted effect.

About this fabric

The compact foliage pattern is richly layered, combining pale cream and ivory spaces with muted green leaves, blue-grey details, charcoal outlines and small touches of terracotta rust. At 220 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 138 cm usable width, while the design repeats every 69 cm vertically and horizontally, giving the all-over pattern a consistent rhythm across a project. The warm ground keeps the multiple colours cohesive and makes the cooler grey-green details read softly against the deeper accents.

How to use it

Pair Ashbrook Natural with warm timber, aged brass and plain linen in oatmeal or soft sage. Its ivory base and low-saturation leaf palette work particularly well on a statement chair, bench seat or relaxed full-length curtain where the 69 cm repeat can be appreciated.

Use the warm ivory ground with muted sage, olive, charcoal and rust accents to bring layered colour to upholstery or softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
