About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Arboretum Fabrics collection is a substantial 390 gsm textile with a usable width of 128 cm, making it well suited to upholstery where body and presence matter. The design shows a repeated woodland-style embroidery with slender tan stems, olive and leaf-green foliage, and clusters of small berry and blossom motifs in vivid red, violet and blue. On the pale background, the colours read fresh rather than heavy, with the berry tones standing out cleanly against the ground. The pattern repeat measures 39 cm vertically and 65 cm horizontally, so the climbing branches and scattered fruit form a clear, rhythmic surface across larger pieces. With 37 threads per cm, the cloth has a detailed, finely worked look that suits decorative seating and feature pieces.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, window seat or cushions where the cream ground can lighten a scheme and the berry colours can echo surrounding accessories. It would sit especially well with natural timber, muted green paintwork or soft neutral wall finishes.

Pair with plain linens or mossy greens to let the berry-toned embroidery sit centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
