Evesham Deer Linen/Chalk

Arboretum Fabrics FabricSAF0258-01

Evesham Deer Linen/Chalk pairs a soft chalk ground with repeated stags in a gentle linen-toned brown. The result is a refined country pattern that feels light and quietly decorative rather than bold.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Arboretum Fabrics cloth is a usable 139 cm wide and has a substantial 252 gsm weight, giving the design enough body for either drapery or upholstery use. The swatch shows evenly spaced stag motifs across a warm chalk background, with the deer picked out in muted brown tones that sit softly against the pale ground. The overall effect is natural and restrained, with the linen-like base helping the pattern read as airy rather than heavy. A 65.5 cm vertical repeat and 68.5 cm horizontal repeat create a generous, traditional layout that suits larger-scale interior pieces.

How to use it

Use it where you want a country motif to feel polished: on an armchair, window seat, or roman blind. The chalk ground keeps the deer motif bright and easy to layer with oak, painted wood, and other soft neutrals.

A soft chalk ground keeps the deer motif calm and refined for upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
