Tilia Lime Stone

A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0351-01

Tilia Lime Stone shows a raised, scrolling botanical damask in a soft stone-cream palette. The design reads pale and airy, with the pattern sitting just slightly brighter than the warm beige ground.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from A Celebration of the National Trust has a usable width of 142 cm and a substantial 252 gsm weight, which gives the embroidered-look relief a tailored, upholstery-friendly presence. The repeat is large at 61.5 cm vertically and 70.5 cm horizontally, so the scrolling leaves and curled stems need careful pattern matching to keep their movement balanced across a piece. Visually, the colourway is very light and muted, with ivory-toned motifs lifted over a beige-stone background that keeps the whole surface soft rather than stark. The 38 threads per cm support the crisp outline of the foliage while still allowing the texture to feel gently tactile and traditional.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a formal armchair, ottoman or dining-seat upholstery where the pale raised motif can catch natural light. It also works well in calm interiors with linen, oak and brushed brass, where the warm stone ground stays understated.

Pair with pale wood and quiet neutrals to let the raised scrollwork stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
