About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Arboretum Fabrics collection is a substantial textile at 300 gsm, with a usable width of 137 cm and a generous 61 cm vertical repeat across the design. The Birch/Multi colourway reads warm and lightly aged, with a creamy base that lets the greens, russets, ochres and small berry accents stand out without feeling sharp. Fine branch lines and clustered foliage give the surface a detailed, slightly traditional character, while the birds add movement and charm throughout the repeat. With 19.5 threads per cm, it has a closely woven, well-defined look that suits a patterned decorative fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want the room to feel bright but not stark: it works especially well with painted woodwork, natural oak and relaxed country furnishings. The warm cream background keeps the design easy to live with, while the green and brown accents echo garden or woodland tones.

A lively bird-and-branch print that brings a soft, country-house feel to windows or seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Woodland Chorus Birch/Multi without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
