Poet`s Rose Linen

Poet's Rose Linen pairs open white blooms with trailing green stems across a gentle rose-cream ground. The overall effect is light, airy and quietly romantic, with the flowers standing out cleanly against the pale background.

About this fabric

From Sanderson’s A Celebration of the National Trust collection, Poet's Rose Linen is a printed fabric with a usable width of 142 cm and a weight of 252 gsm. The pattern repeat runs 67 cm vertically and 142 cm horizontally, creating a large-scale floral layout with generous spacing between the blossoms. In this colourway, the ground reads as a warm, softly muted cream with a hint of pinkness, which gives the white petals a fresher, less stark look. The green foliage feels lifted and natural against the pale field, while the linen-like surface keeps the design looking calm rather than overly glossy.

How to use it

This shade works beautifully in bedrooms, garden rooms or relaxed sitting rooms where you want a bright floral without heavy contrast. Pair it with chalky neutrals, painted timber and a little aged brass to echo the soft warmth of the ground colour.

Use with simple linens or pale painted wood to keep the airy blossom print feeling fresh.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Poet`s Rose Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
