Nest Egg Corn/Graphite

Embleton Bay Fabrics FabricSAF0233-01

Nest Egg Corn/Graphite pairs a pale, near-ivory ground with rows of small oval motifs in corn yellow, graphite grey and soft stone. The effect is gentle and rhythmic, with just enough contrast to keep the design lively.

About this fabric

This fabric from the Embleton Bay Fabrics collection by Sanderson has a usable width of 140 cm, a standard length of 60 m, a 29 cm vertical repeat and a 140 cm horizontal repeat. At 252 gsm, it reads as a sturdy mid-weight cloth rather than a delicate sheer, which suits the crisp, small-scale repeat visible in the image. The surface shows tiny speckled ovals arranged in neat rows, with corn tones bringing warmth and graphite adding a cool, anchored counterpoint against the pale background. Its 38 threads per cm suggest a tightly woven fabric with clear pattern definition and a neat handle.

How to use it

The soft corn and graphite palette works well in rooms that want colour without heaviness, especially alongside painted woodwork, oatmeal upholstery and weathered timber. It would suit relaxed upholstery pieces or full-length curtains where the small repeat can be appreciated.

Use with oak, linen and soft grey for a calm, country-luxe scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
