Spindlestone Grape

Embleton Bay Weaves FabricSAF0238-03

Spindlestone Grape reads as a muted mushroom taupe with a subtle heathered surface and fine vertical striations. The effect is calm and tailored rather than decorative, with just enough tonal movement to keep the cloth alive.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Embleton Bay Weaves collection is a substantial textile at 521gsm, with a usable width of 139 cm, a standard length of 30 m, and no pattern repeat in either direction. The weave shows as a tight, linear grain, giving the surface a dry, textural feel rather than a smooth finish. In this colourway, the grape reference comes through as a cool, smoky taupe-brown with faint lilac undertones, especially where the light catches the yarns. With 53 threads per cm, it feels densely constructed and well suited to hard-working interiors.

How to use it

Use this shade on a sofa, bench seat, or headboard where its restrained taupe tone can balance timber, stone, and darker accent colours. It also works well in layered neutral schemes, adding depth without pulling the room warm or overly cool.

A quietly textured neutral that works beautifully on tailored seating or simple cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
