Horizon Grey

About this colour

This shade reads as a cool, light grey with just enough depth to stay distinct from white, and the hex value #E3E5E4 gives it a gently softened, almost airy look. It reflects plenty of light, so it can help a room feel broader and less enclosed without looking stark. In a north-facing room it will lean a touch cooler and more silvered, which suits its restrained character. In south-facing light it warms slightly and becomes softer and more forgiving, especially on joinery. It sits neatly beside off-white woodwork, pale oak, and upholstery in stone, sage, or blue-grey tones.

How to use it

Use Horizon Grey for walls in a sitting room, hallway, or bedroom where you want a calm backdrop. It is also very suitable on woodwork with linen, wool, or muted patterned upholstery in natural, duck egg, or charcoal shades.

A pale, cool grey that stays light and easy to live with on the wall.

Pairs well with

Horizon Grey is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
