About this colour

This shade reads as a light, softened neutral rather than a clean grey, with #CECAC1 giving it a muted stone warmth that gently lifts darker rooms without feeling bright. In north-facing light it can turn a little cooler and more settled, so the beige undertone becomes subtler and the colour feels more restrained. In south-facing rooms it warms up and looks creamier, but it still keeps enough grey in it to stay calm beside stronger colours. It works well on walls where you want a pale background that sits comfortably with natural oak, aged brass, linen, and deeper browns, and it is equally useful on woodwork in a low-contrast scheme. The Active Emulsion and Waterbased Eggshell finishes suit the colour’s smooth, understated look on both walls and joinery.

How to use it

Use Turtledove in sitting rooms, bedrooms, and hallways where a pale, settled wall colour is needed. It pairs neatly with walnut, smoked oak, muted greens, and upholstered pieces in oatmeal, taupe, or deep olive.

Turtledove gives walls a soft warm light without looking white.
