About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics design is a substantial 402 gsm textile with a 137 cm usable width, making it well suited to upholstery projects that need body as well as decorative impact. The repeat is a generous 64 cm vertically and 137 cm across, and the large-scale pattern reads clearly in this colourway. On the fabric, the china blue flowers feel cool and gently washed rather than bright, while the pale ground keeps the whole design light and open. Soft leaf tones and hints of sage and celadon add movement without taking away from the calm blue palette. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for indoor decorative use where its tonal watercolor effect can be appreciated.

How to use it

Pair this soft china blue with white-painted joinery, pale timber and relaxed linen for a fresh country look. It also works well as a statement armchair fabric where the airy ground stops the large floral from feeling heavy.

Use for a light, elegant statement that keeps the room airy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pear & Pomegranate China Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
