About this fabric

Its colour sits between earthy brown and muted taupe, with tiny lighter and darker fibres breaking up the surface rather than forming a printed motif. The substantial-looking weave has a softly nubby face, while the folds show how the cloth gathers and catches the light. The close-up reads as warm and quietly depthful, with the ember tone becoming deeper in the shaded creases. No composition, width or rub-test data has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this muted ember-brown on a sofa, armchair or headboard where its flecked surface can add warmth without introducing a strong pattern. Pair it with oatmeal, aged timber and darker brown accents to echo the tonal variation in the weave.

A warm, flecked brown weave that brings understated depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
