Balldechin Vintage
Balldechin Fabric
Balldechin Vintage brings together rust red, olive, charcoal and pale neutral yarns in an irregular striped weave. Its softly ridged surface and undulating lines give the colourway a collected, vintage feel.

About this fabric
The pattern is formed from uneven vertical bands that shift in width and direction, creating movement across the cloth rather than a rigid stripe. Rust red provides the strongest note, tempered by mossy olive, charcoal grey and narrow pale beige lines. The woven surface has a visibly ribbed, tactile character, with the folds catching the light differently across each stripe. Its substantial-looking construction makes it well suited to upholstery applications where the colour variation can disguise the creasing of a shaped piece.
How to use it
Use the warm, weathered rust and olive tones on a reading chair, bench or relaxed sofa, pairing them with aged wood, dark metal and softly worn leather. Keep surrounding fabrics quiet so the charcoal and pale accent stripes remain legible.
Use this richly muted stripe on occasional chairs, footstools or sofas alongside warm timber and aged leather.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Balldechin Vintage without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
