Clivedon Fabric

Clivedon Blackthorn brings a tapestry-like floral arrangement to a deep charcoal-brown ground. Oversized paisleys, scalloped petals and curling leaves are picked out in softened sage, dusty blue, taupe and ochre.

About this fabric

The dense, all-over pattern combines paisley forms, rounded flower heads and finely edged foliage, creating substantial visual depth across the cloth. Its charcoal-brown background gives the pale blue-green and cream motifs a softly subdued contrast, while ochre accents add warmth without brightening the overall palette. The surface appears woven with a slightly nubby, textured character that supports its upholstery-led classification. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Blackthorn on a feature armchair, upholstered headboard or occasional sofa where its dark ground can anchor a room. Pair it with warm taupe, aged timber and muted blue-green accents to draw out the quieter colours within the floral weave.

A richly detailed woven floral with a deep charcoal-brown ground and muted botanical tones, particularly suited to statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
