Dorney Charcoal
Dorney Fabric
Dorney Charcoal pairs a softened charcoal pattern with a warm stone-beige ground, creating a richly textured, quietly graphic surface. Its repeated ornamental motifs bring definition without the starkness of black and white.

About this fabric
The design is formed from repeating geometric and stylised teardrop motifs, with darker charcoal marks softened by the visible woven texture. Warm beige shows through the pattern, giving the colourway a gently earthy character rather than a cool, flat grey appearance. The close, tactile surface reads as a versatile mid-weight fabric suitable for upholstery and drapery. Its regular repeat adds structure, while the slightly irregular motif edges keep the overall effect relaxed and handcrafted.
How to use it
Use Dorney Charcoal on a reading chair, bench or full-length curtains where its warm beige ground can soften the depth of the charcoal pattern. Pair it with natural timber, aged metal and quiet taupe or stone accessories for a composed, textural room.
Use the softened charcoal-and-beige pattern to bring texture and graphic detail to upholstery, curtains or cushions.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dorney Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
