Gelato Fabric

Gelato Humbug presents a deep taupe-charcoal ground crossed by extremely fine, gently wavering lines. In the photographed swatch, the close stripe shifts from crisp and linear to softly compressed as the cloth folds.

About this fabric

The colourway combines muted taupe with charcoal-dark lines, giving the surface a restrained depth rather than a high-contrast stripe. Its very fine, closely spaced weave creates a subtly ribbed appearance, while the gathered folds reveal soft movement and changing shadow. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Gelato Humbug for full-length curtains or softly gathered blinds where its deep taupe-charcoal tone can anchor pale stone, warm grey and natural timber schemes. Keep surrounding textures quiet to let the delicate wavering stripe provide the detail.

A fluid, finely striped neutral suited to full-length curtains, relaxed blinds and understated layered schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gelato Humbug without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
