Marlborough Charcoal

Marlborough Fabric

Marlborough Charcoal is a deep, cool grey with a near-black depth softened by delicate tonal variation across the surface. Its close texture gives the swatch a quietly tactile, tailored appearance.

About this fabric

The surface reads as dense charcoal grey, with subtle lighter flecks and fine vertical movement preventing the shade from appearing flat. A small, pebbled texture is visible throughout, creating gentle light-catching variation without a pronounced motif. The dark tone and substantial-looking surface make it especially well suited to structured upholstery and contemporary seating. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Marlborough Charcoal on a clean-lined sofa, occasional chair or dining seat where its cool, almost black-grey tone can anchor pale timber, stone and brushed metal. Layer it with softer grey textiles to keep the room tonal while adding contrast through texture.

A deep charcoal tone and close texture suit tailored sofas, dining chairs and modern statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
