Marlborough Fabric

Marlborough Cinnamon is a rich, warm brown textile with the softly reddish cast associated with cinnamon rather than a cool chocolate brown. Its surface appears plain and close-grained, with a restrained matte texture visible across the swatch.

About this fabric

The colour has a grounded cinnamon depth, reading warm and earthy while remaining more refined than a bright rust or orange. A fine, low-contrast grain gives the plain surface gentle visual movement without introducing a visible motif or repeat. The fabric appears substantial enough for upholstery, based on the compact, even surface shown here. No composition, width, rub-test or other performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use this cinnamon-brown shade to bring warmth to tailored seating, headboards or occasional upholstery, especially alongside cream, tobacco, walnut and muted clay tones. Its softly matte surface will keep the colour feeling settled rather than glossy or decorative.

The warm cinnamon tone and discreet close-grained texture suit tailored upholstery where a softly matte finish is preferred.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
